What is Art Therapy?

Art Therapy gives people an opportunity to explore themselves through art making and discussion. At times it can be difficult to put feelings and experiences into words which is where the artmaking process can be useful to access more of our unconscious world.

You do not have to be good at art to benefit and art work produced is personal to each individual. The art work can be used to process challenging feelings that may be impacting on your life.

Art Therapy can offer personal insight and can also be playful and fun.

Further information about Art Therapy can be found on the BAAT button below.

Costs

Sessions cost £60 per 50-minute, online session.

A free introductory and information session (up to 30-minutes) is offered to allow a space in which to discuss your needs.

A following assessment period of 4-6 sessions will allow for further exploration of the therapeutic aims and goals in relation to your support.

The assessment period will also offer a space to explore if we are a good therapeutic match.

Confidentiality and Consent

Sessions are always confidential and any information shared is treated with the utmost respect.

Consent can be withdrawn at any stage, and without reason.

All therapeutic work is conducted in line with the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT) and  Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Standards, Ethics and Principles of Professional Practice. Work is also compliant with GDPR.
